This program is a rock n roll dance fest featuring the big names of early rock n roll. Kicking off is the pioneer of rock n roll, Chuck Berry, with his classic Johnny B Goode –voted the Greatest Rock N Roll song of all time. Of course there has to be Elvis too, here with one of his smash hits Jailhouse Rock. Other big names include Little Richard (Long Tall Sally) , Jerry Lee Lewis (Great Balls Of Fire), Gene Vincent (Be Bop A Lula) and Buddy Holly leading his group The Crickets (Oh Boy!). Although it was a man’s world two female singers stood out: Brenda Lee (That’s All You Gotta Do) and Wanda Jackson (Let’s Have A Party). Australia too had its ‘King Of Rock N Roll’, Johnny O’Keefe (Shout).
