In this program we farewell legendary singer, Tony Bennett by playing his signature song I Left My Heart In San Francisco. Songwriters have long titillated our taste buds as well as our ears. There are songs about local foods such as legendary singer Jo Stafford’s version of Jambalaya and Tony Joe White’s tribute to the poor people of the Southern states of the USA who eat Polk Salad Annie. Drinks abound too: Hermann’s Hermits sing about milk on No Milk Today while our own Slim Dusty sings the lament of The Pub With No Beer. The Champs serve up the catchy Tequila and we finish off with A Glass Of Champagne from Sailor.
