QUESTIONS

The question is: what are we celebrating this week? Answer: Our 11th birthday. Many thanks to our loyal listeners and to people who have helped us over the last eleven years. A special thanks to our wonderful podcaster, Julia who has stayed with us throughout. So our theme today is songs that ask Questions. Starting with American soul singer Jimmy Ruffin (What’s Become Of The Broken Hearted?) we move into ABBA’s jaunty Does Your Mother Know?

Boy George and Culture Club revise their first hit Do You Really Want To Hurt Me? while Peter Sarstedt sings his popular sardonic song Where Do You Go To? The Aussie entrant this week is the impressive Would You Lay With Me (In A Field of Stone) from Bandstand regular, Judy Stone.
