In today’s program we celebrate the talents of gamine looking, fringed, barefoot popular UK singer from the 60s, Sandie Shaw and Lionel Richie, former lead singer of The Commodores and a successful solo performer. We feature all of Sandie Shaw’s big hits from There’s Always Something There To Remind Me, How Can You Tell, Message Understood and Girl Don’t Come. And, of course, the Eurovision winning song of 1967 Puppet On A String which Sandie Shaw did not like. Lionel Richie’s big hits were Dancing On The Ceiling, Hello and Penny Lover. Perhaps his most famous song was the 80s hit All Night Long.
