Yesterday Once More

15 Oct 2023

The Senses

50s, 60s, 70s, Nostalgia, Songs

Like all good writers songwriters like to appeal to our senses when penning songs. So on today’s program we are presenting songs that deal with Sight –I Can See Clearly Now from Johnny Nash and an early Easybeats song Come And See Her: Hearing:- Listen To The Music from The Doobie Brothers and former child actor, Eddie Hodges with his one hit wonder I’m Gonna Knock On Your Door. Touch:- Dan Hill’s emotional ballad Sometimes When We Touch and Australia’s the Divinyls with their big hit I Touch Myself. Finally, Taste:- Jimmie Rodger’s flavoursome Kisses Sweeter Than Wine, the Kalin Twins Sweet Sugar Lips and the Beatle’s version of A Taste Of Honey. Unfortunately we couldn’t find any Smelling songs.
