Let’s Remember BoneyM and Peter Paul and Mary

Our  penultimate show for 2023 is a Let’s Remember and this week we salute Peter Paul and Mary and Boney M.

Boney M  (BM), created by Frank Farian and comprising four singers, Maizie Williams, Bobby Farell, Marcia Barrett and Liz Mitchell was formed in West Germany in 1976.

The quartet rose to fame during the disco era of the late ‘70s selling more than 100 million records. Today Boney M is  still touring with a new lineup and will be in Australia June 2024.

Peter, Paul and Mary (PP&M) was an American folk group formed in New York City in 1961. The trio comprised Peter YarrowPaul Stookey, and  Mary Travers.

The group’s song collection included those written by Peter and Paul,  Bob Dylan and a range of covers. The group’s success was evident in the early and mid ‘60s.
