Yesterday Once More

20 Aug 2024

Pop Songs In Advertisements

50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, Music, Nostalgia, Songs

Companies often use music, be it a jingle or a soundtrack, to advertise their brand, product or service.

POP SONGS IN ADVERTISEMENTS include some songs that are currently used in television advertisements and songs that are associated with iconic ads of the past.

For example, The Eurogliders are presently associated with real estate, Peter Frampton with a furniture company and Cindy Lauper with washing detergent.

Gene Chandler’s Duke of Earl was used for the 1988 Decore shampoo ad, Phil Collins’ In the Air Tonight is associated with a 2007 Cadbury’s ad and the Melodie D’Amour tune was used in 1996 for Goulbourn Valley Gold sung by the ‘Oarsome Foursome’.
