Sisters

50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, Music, Nostalgia, Songs

This episode is dedicated to all female groups who have sisters in them. The Andrews Sisters were the most popular singing group in the war years and after, especially with their bright and toe tapping Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy. Other prominent all sister groups are, The Pointer Sisters (Slow Hand), Sister Sledge (We Are Family) and the popular fifties group The McGuire Sisters (Volare). Australia also had some excellent and popular sister groups such as English born sisters who formed the group, Cheetah (Walking In The Rain) and The Moir Sisters (Good Morning How Are You?). Other groups containing sisters were Heart (Barracuda), The Bangles (Walk Like An Egyptian) and The Angels (My Boyfriend’s Back).
