Aussie Hit Parade 1966

In this week’s program we travel back to the year 1966. It is a countdown of the year’s twelve top songs for that year. The Beatles still dominated the charts – they have both the number three song (Eleanor Rigby) and the number two song (We Can Work It Out). Several Aussie singers featured prominently – The Easybeats (Friday On My Mind), Johnny Young (Cara Lynn), Normie Rowe (Ooh La La) and Bobby & Laurie (Hitch Hiker). But the No. 1 honour goes to Nancy Sinatra for her smash hit ‘These Boots Are Made For Walkin’.
