This is our second in-depth program featuring two huge names from the fifties, sixties and seventies. This week we are featuring the most popular girlie group of the sixties: The Supremes and a singer who attracted universal acclaim in his short lifetime: Bobby Darin. The singalong catchy melodies of The Supremes featured the wonderful voice of Diana Ross. Bobby Darin’s growth from a mere rock singer to a more mature exponent of swing is apparent throughout the program. Weaving through the program is a narrative about the lives of both artists. We are also presenting a track from a classic album. This week it’s the smooth voice of Art Garfunkel from his ‘Breakaway’ album.
