This week Yesterday Once More pays tribute to 2 exceptional entertainers. Under the theme LET’S REMEMBER we present the music of Miss Peggy Lee and the wonderful Stevie Wonder. Peggy’s prowess included singer / song writer / composer and actor. During her career spanning 7 decades she was nominated for 13 Grammys, had the number 1 hit Manana in 1958, won the 1958 Record and Song of the Year Fever, and was the 1959 Best Contemporary Vocal Performer with Is That All There Is. Little Stevie Wonder was the youngest (at 13 years old) to top the charts with his composition Fingertips. As one of the most successful songwriters and musicians, Stevie Wonder’s composition Part Time Lover made him the first artist to have a number 1 song in 4 different charts in 1985. He holds the record for the most Grammys (25) won by a solo artist, has sold over 100 million records and Rolling Stone lists him as the 9th greatest singer of all time.
