Yesterday Once More

24 Mar 2024

Rob’s Indulgence

50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, Nostalgia, Songs

INDULGENCE

This week Rob indulges in his own choice of songs. Some of them have a special meaning for him while others he just likes. Songs that remind him of some event in his life are Phil Seymour’s Precious To Me, Dee Clark’s Raindrops and legend Sarah Vaughan’s poignant Broken Hearted Melody. He chose Smoke Gets In Your Eyes from The Platters just to hear Tony WIlliam’s soaring voice. Also he likes the exuberance of You Were On My Mind from We Five. Three specially selected Aussie favourites are Moving Picture’s rousing What About Me? The Moir Sisters delicious Good Morning How Are You?  and The Reels fine version of the Herb Alpert hit This Guy’s In Love With You.
