Yesterday Once More

14 Apr 2015

Contrasts

Music

Hi Listeners,

This week on ‘Yesterday Once More’ we are presenting opposites or songs with contrasting titles. The format will be slightly changed to fit the idea and the songs will be presented in pairs. For example the program will include ‘Short People’ by Randy Newman followed by ‘Long Tall Sally’ by the Beatles. Blood Sweat And Tears will present happiness in “You’ve Made Me So Very Happy’ coupled with the Everly Brothers poignant ‘So Sad.’

Other couplings include ‘high’ (River Deep Mountain High by Ike And Tina Turner) and ‘low’ (Lowdown by Boz Scagga) and ‘go’ (Go Now by the Moody Blues) and ‘stay’ (Stay Just A Little Bit Longer by Maurice Williams And The Zodiacs). An unusual pairing is ‘Mexican Divorce’ by the Drifters with Marty Robbin’s classic song ‘Just Married.’

So whatever way you swing we hope the songs will give you much enjoyment.
