Hi Listeners,

This is our third program on ‘Guys And Dolls’. Again we feature a variety of male and female names. The program starts with Bobby Sherman’s bright ‘Julie Do You Love Me’ and finishes with one of Sue Thompson’s big hits ‘Norman’. Van Morrison’s group Them presents their huge seller ‘Gloria’ with its risque lyrics. Television actor Shelley Fabares tried her hand at pop music and had some success with ‘Johnny Angel’. An interesting song is the Everly Brothers’ ‘Claudette’ which apparently was a tribute to Roy Orbison’s deceased wife. Del Shannon sings his follow up hit to ‘Runaway’ with ‘Hats Off To Larry’ while Peter Paul And Mary perform the sad tale of’Polly Von’, an Old German folk song. It’s good to hear the voice of Cat Stevens again (Matthew And Son) reminding us what a fine singer he was then.

Australia is well represented in this week’s program too. Kevin Johnson sings ‘Bonnie Please Don’t Go’ his follow up to the iconic ‘Rock N Roll (I Gave You All The Best years Of My Life)’ and Helen Reddy reprises the strange tale of ‘Angie Baby’. Ex pat, Rick Springfield, scored huge success with the driving ‘Jessie’s Girl’ while in the late seventies Olivia Newton-John attempted to revise her career with the ballad ‘Sam’.
