This week’s theme is ‘Children’ or ‘Kids’. Back in the sixties the story of a lost four year old boy in the bush in New South Wales was the inspiration for a song by balladeer Johnny Ashcroft called ‘Little Boy Lost’. Likewise John Lennon penned and sang ‘Beautiful Boy’ for his baby son, Sean. The result is a heartfelt and beautiful ballad. Stevie Wonder also penned a song about a real girl in ‘Isn’t She Lovely?’
This week we start a new segment. We will feature an Australian song or singer each week. This week’s song is Little Pattie’s unfortunate ‘My Blonde Headed Stompie Wompie Surfer Boy’.
