Tearful

The songs in this week’s playlist are centered around the theme “Tearful“. Whilst we can cry or tear up with happiness it was quite difficult to find songs that referred to crying as a happy experience. Hence today’s songs tend to focus on loss or pending loss. There are, however, some powerful songs sung by wonderful Grammy Award winners, including, Roy Orbison k.d.lang, Donna Summer and Eric Clapton. The Aussie of the Week is Daryl Braithwaite with his version of “You’re My World”.

PLAYLIST

  • Tears of a Clown – Smokey Robinson and The Miracles
  • Tracks of My Tears – Linda Rondstat
  • Crying – k.d.lang & Roy Orbison
  • Tears in Heaven – Eric Clapton
  • No More Tears – Donna Summer & Barbra Streisand
  • Don’t Cry For Me Argentina – Julie Covington
  • Bitter Tears – INXS
  • Tears On My Pillow – Neil Sedaka
  • You’re My World – Daryl Braithwaite
