Recently we heard the plight of JOY listeners in India who called in and emailed to share their heartbreaking stories and the horrific state of affairs in India because of Section 377 which enables Indian policemen to harass, bully, extort bribes and even abuse the LGBTIQ community regularly. News of suicides, forced marriages and gay-bashing are heard so often and are equally actively suppressed by the authorities.
Lisa and Sammi from Yes We Are decided to step up for our Indian LGBTIQ brothers and sisters and featured our very own #END377 Campaign. In some small way we hope we can get the message out there that it is not acceptable to be treated like this.
