Golden Boy is Israel’s first ever English-language entry, with past entries mixing Hebrew and English. It was written by Doron Medalie and described as a “Middle Eastern Pop anthem”.

Nadav Guedj is a 16-year-old singer who won this year’s selection competition with 79% of the end vote. He has noted Harel Skaat and Boaz as two of his favourite Eurovision contestants of the past. Guedj was born in Paris and moved to Israel when he was three. After his TV appearances, audiences described him as having the voice of Justin Timberlake.

Can it be golden for Israel?
