Sexual Health, Drugs, Alcohol & Sexting

img_2798Tonight we are lucky enough to be joined by an expert in everything to do with youth sexual health.

Dr Megan Lim is a Senior Research Fellow and the Head of Sexual Health and Young People Research at the Burnet Institute Centre for Population Health. Her primary area of expertise is investigating the role of new communications technologies in public health. Her work targets young people in Australia and developing countries, particularly on sexual health and alcohol.

Tonight we thought we would address those questions you wished teachers addressed in Sex Ed class. And hopefully answer some of those questions you might be too scared to ask in the classroom!

We are also going to look at a bunch of super important topics like how porn, sexting, binge drinking and STI’s can impact our life. And how to stay safe during the festival season!

If you feel like we missed something you wished we discussed email me @ Unicornyouth@joy.org.au.

It was also super wonderful to have the amazing Jordan as my co-host for the evening who just graduated from the Youth Aloud radio course here at Joy! Welcome to Joy 94.9 Jordan!

Have a beautiful Christmas lovely Unicorns, if you’re into that type of thing.
