Welcome to A Touch Of Pink, your home for all that is fun and a little bit gay in the world of trash pop music. Tonight we have new songs from 2 Energise artists, Allan Jay and Nicki French, New Hot Chip, Florence, A3, Jessie J, and recent hits from RuPaul and Ricky Martin cos they both have new albums out now! RuPaul Presents The Covergurlz 2 album, and Ricky Martin has just released another romantic latin album called A Quien Quiera Escuchar. Both albums are highly recommended, and just a little bit gay.

My Single Of The Week is ‘Sacred’ by Erasure. This is the 3rd and final song from their latest album, The Violet Flame. An interesting video and another strong song from what must be one of their best albums in years. Not sure what the video means, very retro and all that, but good on them, nearly 30 years and still going strong.

Here follows tonight’s playlist. Tune in this Saturday on JOY 94.9 from 6-7pm for a bakers dozen of fab-u-lous tracks. Your host is Dick.

What have I seen lately?

FILM: National Theatre Live @ The Nova : Treasure Island : Another triumph, and this time one for the kiddies and the adults. A wonderful re-invention of the RL Stephenson adventure story about pirates and sailing ships and pieces of eight. The set was very cleverly designed and the story was narrated by Jim (aka Jimima) the inn-keeper’s grand-daughter, who held the whole production together, brilliantly played by Patsy Ferran. Another National Theatre triumph, and well worth seeing on it’s return screenings.

Dick’s Top 5+1 Videos This Week

Sam Smith : Lay me down (can’t this man write a bad song?)

Hot Chip : Hurache lights (what does it all mean?)

Florence and the Machine : What kind of man (very dramatic)

Ella Henderson : Mirror Man (acoustic session, and what a voice!)

RuPaul : Sissy That Walk (and they do)

Years and Years : King (I forgot to put this in last week but it’s a great video)

That’s your lot ….. now sashay away …
