Welcome to A Touch Of Pink, your home site for a look at the fun side of modern pop. Tonight we’ve featuring two songs from Jussie Smollett (see above) as well as 11 other GLBTI related songs. Only 1 of the performers tonight is not gay (not that I’m aware of) but they are all immensely talented. Be proud of them all.

My Single Of The Week is anything featuring Jussie Smollett, but in particular “Good enough” from the Empire soundtrack album. Jussie plays one of 3 sons of the founder of the Empire music conglomerate. He plays the gay son and in real life he is gay. He came out officially on the Ellen De Generes Show (see above). He is a very good singer, in the Frank Ocean style, and very cute. If you like him go buy a copy of the Empire CD soundtrack, and look out for a solo CD now being recorded.

What have I seen at the theatre/multiplex lately?

Film : Gemma Bovery : Cute romcom with literary refences, about a British couple (the Bovary’s) who move to Normandy to live the French lifestyle. They are befriended by the local baker and his wife, and the baker develops a literary crush on Gemma Bovary. Lots of bed-hopping and (French) food-porn shots. Yummy.

SHOW : Dirty Dancing : Took Mum for Mothers day, and it was enjoyable. Not a classic musical in my opinion, but lots of great singing and dancing and a hand-clapping finale. Enjoyable.
