Today we talk about White Night and its loss of funding for future events. We remember that on 24 February 1984 Dr Victor Chang performed Australia’s first heart transplant and just 7 years later he was murdered, causing a great loss to humanity. We compare that event to the recent Sydney massacre in the Lindt Café and we recall that the café manager Tori was stuck down in his prime, leaving behind his male partner of 14 years. We recall film-star Elizabeth Taylor and her support of Rock Hudson and her great legacy to AIDS research.
