In this show, we reflect upon a relaxing 3-day weekend holiday which is the Queen’s Birthday celebration and wonder if we’ll get a public holiday after the reign of Queen Elizabeth II.

 

We touch on the Paris Accord, solar energy and what to do with old computers.

 

Being happy little Vegemites, we celebrate its introduction 90 years ago. And we are reminded that Blood Donor Week is celebrated at this time in Australia. Also celebrated now is Men’s Health Week – we chat about mens’ junk; and on a different plane, we talk about space junk.
Sadly, we remember the Pulse Gay Nightclub massacre, in Orlando Florida last year and its horrendous loss of young lives to a crazed gunman, and wonder how anyone can have so much hate and lack of humanity to commit such a crime. We chide some locals who aren’t temperate in their mouthings.

On his 56^th birthday, we say cheers for the times & life of gay singer, songwriter, fashion designer, and photographer Boy George – still going strong after a tempestuous public life from 1979 to the present.
