Reuben Lewis returned to the Bent Notes studio recently to chat with Paul Gardner about the new album – Lost In Place – being launched soon by his band- I Hold The Lions Paw.
Reuben describes the music of I Hold The Lion’s Paw as Free Jazz, and notes that this album starts where the previous album, Abstract Playgrounds, left off.
The music on the new album is focused around a more grungy groovy electro-acoustic, almost dancey music inspired by John Hassell meets Ornette Coleman meets Tropical F-Storm.
I Hold The Lion’s Paw have developed their music whilst performing regularly at the the Brunswick Green for the past three years.
Reuben Lewis was guest of Bent Notes on Sunday October 13, 2019
