Wangaratta Local Emma Christie features her contemporary vocal jazz in the Community Program at the 30th Wangaratta Festival of Jazz and Blues.
Emma will be performing the repertoire built-up during her VCE studies this year, with her quartet – pianist Mark Bolsius, and fellow Wangaratta High School students Mikaylah Rumbelow (bass) and Jake Molinaro (drums) on Sunday November 1, 2020, in the Online festival.
Hear how Emma used her “Music Investigation” subject to learn about Female Australian Vocalists including Kristin Berardi, Gian Slater, Rita Satch and Olivia Chindamo, and how this learning has informed her personal vocalisation skillset.
In addition to her vocal skills Emma also plays Piano and Trumpet.
Emma Christie was guest of Bent Notes on Sunday October 11, 2020
