Getting the Sedergreen Family Band back together

Steve Sedergreen chatted to David Moyle about putting the Sedergreen Family band back together when Mal, Steve and their father Bob take the stage at the Hawthorn Arts Centre celebrating over 120 years of musicianship between them.  Steve spoke about the complimentary skillsets of each of them and the enthusiasm to get onto the stage and perform together again.

Steve and Mal were brought up in a household that valued music, with Jazz a firm favourite, and with Bob as their father they experienced so much of the Jazz music world throughout their childhood and through their teenage years.

Playing their interpretations of the music of Cole Porter, Duke Ellington, Stevie Wonder and The Beatles; The Three Sedergreens will show off their extraordinary improvisatory and collaborative skills alongside a backing band of amazing Melbourne musicians.

The Three Sedergreens perform at the Hawthorn Arts Centre on Friday August 30, 2019.

Steve Sedergreen was guest of Bent Notes on Sunday August 25, 2019
