Checkpoint Intimates is a weekly podcast where two members of the team go one-on-one on a topic that they both feel strongly about, talking in a more deeper and, yes, intimate context.

On this episode, Luke and Elliot talk all about “Souls-Like” video games. Luke recently shared with us his review of The Surge, which falls under the category of a “Souls-Like”… that is, an action RPG that is intentionally quite difficult and unforgiving, often to the point of wanting to throw your controller against a wall! This style of video game has seen a real boom over the last few years, thanks in no small part to the Dark Souls franchise, which has made difficult-but-satisfying gameplay a real hero.
