This week on the show, Luke, Meags and Archer are joined by Tal from The Spirit Lounge to talk about a very interesting topic: the use of religion in video games. There are many points about religion that are raised in gaming; some games use it as a ‘big enemy’ that needs to be dealt with like in Assassins Creed, usually with a psychopathic cult-driven leader. Other games use it as a deep theme to represent a totally different world, such as with Bioshock: Infinite. Then there are other games that just have a bunch of deities FIGHTING IT OUT IN AN EPIC BATTLE… like in SMITE.
Listen in as we talk about whether or not we think religion has a place in gaming, where it has been done with thought and where it has been done with perhaps not so much thought. Also, Luke and Meags got a chance to spend some time playing Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection and Until Dawn on PS4 last week! You can hear their thoughts on the upcoming titles right here in this episode!
