In 2015 Screen Australia released the most significant study of diversity on Australian screens since TV began in 1956, entitled ‘Seeing Ourselves: Reflections on Diversity in TV Drama.’
The results came as no surprise to LGBTQI community – Blink and you might miss us.
Tony Ayres, Australia’s most prolific award-winning writer and director working across film and television, joins the Family Matters team to discuss LGBTQI representation on screen with a focus on kids programming.
Tony was Executive Producer of the live action series Nowhere Boys (ABC3) aimed for kids ages 8+ which is a must see for all LGBTQI kids & families.
