Welcome to Game On! JOY 94.9’s Home of Sport every Wednesday from 8-9pm where you’ll hear where you can get your game on! This show is all about you and how you can get your game on by showcasing where sport is safe, inclusive, welcoming and fun for the Rainbow community!

We are joined by former elite runner Talitha Rayner about her journey in the world of athletics, her passion for running and how this was impacted when transitioning, the challenges trans and gender diverse people face when competing in sport and rediscovering her love of running with the inclusive running and walking clubs for the LGBTIQA+ community and allies the Canberra Frontrunners and now the Melbourne Frontrunners.(Starts 2mins 15secs)

This summer we can look forward to the largest LGBTIQA+ sporting event in Australian history! The inaugural Australian Pride In Sport Festival! Beau Newell, National Program Manager, Pride in Sport This four month national calendar of LGBTIQA+ led activities rolls out over the summer months and aims to welcome new participants into sports and celebrate the achievements of queer sporting communities! It will be an exciting summer of activating, participating, educating and celebrating the Rainbow community in sport! (Starts 18mins 23 secs)

And we Go West to chat with Glen Bainbridge, Committee Member for Team Perth to talk his love of sport and the fabulous event he is MCing on the 2^nd November – the annual Faction Carnival now in its fifth year as part of PrideFEST 2024. The Faction Carnival has been organised to encourage everyone to meet new people in a fun and relaxing environment while having a run around with plenty of laughs – that means 150 peeps having the best time dressed up in a faction colour and you could be one of them! And who else is getting their game on this week? The Lacrosse Together Cup crew! Lacrosse Victoria held a fantastic community event on Sunday, 20 October at PJ Lynch Reserve in Altona North – a Come& Try session and the Lacrosse Together Cup. It was a fun social way to give the sport a go followed by a round robin event designed to celebrate diversity and inclusivity in lacrosse. Lacrosse Victoria General Manager Michael Sholly and Zac an Ambassador for the Lacrosse Together Cup have some words of encouragement for you to take up lacrosse! (Starts 43mins 33secs)
