Welcome to Game On! JOY 94.9’s Home of Sport every Wednesday from 6-7pm across summer where you’ll hear where you can get your game on! This show is all about showcasing where sport is safe, inclusive, welcoming and fun for the Rainbow community!

On the show this week we are joined by Christopher Pezet (Pez) President Melbourne Chargers because the Melbourne Chargers are charging into 2025 with lots of events on across January and February! The Australia Open is underway! Luke Dennehy, Tennis Australia shares how you can maximise the fun of one of the world’s most prestigious sporting events across the three weeks! And of course there is the Glam Slam as part of one of the four Grand Slams! The Glam Slam is an international tennis event sanctioned by the Gay Lesbian Tennis Alliance (GLTA) and held in Melbourne during the Australian Open as an opportunity for participants who identify as LGBTQ+ to participate at competitive and social competitions. This year thirty four countries are represented from the 24 – 26 January. And the fantastic Pride Day is on Friday 24th January – a Rainbow-coloured celebration of the Rainbow community embracing the wonderful world of tennis! (Interview starts 15mins 29secs)

Jack Hendy, Co-Founder Melbourne Rainbow Golfers, joins game On to share all the fun of this awesome sport and to encourage you to join the 80 peeps who have already signed up for the annual Rainbow Golf Cup now in it’s fourth successful year!
