Welcome to Game On JOY 94.9’s Home of Sport every Wednesday from 6-7pm where you’ll hear where you can get your game on! This show is all about showcasing where sport is safe, inclusive, welcoming and fun for the Rainbow community!

We chat with Australian Olympic Gold Medal winning cyclist and Ally Grace Brown about having a winning mindset. Grace was awarded the Victorian Institute of Sport prestigious 2024 Award of Excellence – the Kitty McEwan Award, had her most successful year on the bike in 2024 which included a gold medal at the Paris Olympics in the Women’s Road Individual Time Trial, two victories at the UCI World Road Cycling Championships in the Women’s ITT and Team Time Trial, gold at the Chrono des Nations and another gold at the Liege-Bastogne-Liege in Belgium, becoming the first Australian woman to win one of the prestigious races known as the ‘Monuments’. We are will be joined by another incredible Ally in sport Shelley Matheson – Triple Paralympic medallist and co-founder of the new Victorian Women’s Wheelchair Basketball team Victoria Wonders.

The 2025 Women’s National Wheelchair Basketball League kicks off on Friday 30 May with six teams, including three bold new additions: the Victoria Wonders, Gold Coast Rollers and Adelaide Thunder. We’ll be talking about the incredible story behind the new league and how you can get involved in all the action. (Starts 13mins 49secs)
