Welcome to Game On JOY 94.9’s Home of Sport every Wednesday from 6-7pm where you’ll hear where you can get your game on! This show is all about showcasing where sport is safe, inclusive, welcoming and fun for the Rainbow community!

We chat with Matt Moncrieff, Bush Food advocate, cook, proud descendant of the Wiradjuri people and Melbourne Charger – a member of Melbourne’s gay and inclusive rugby club live in the JOY 94.9 Sport Studio! It’s NAIDOC Week – an important week in our annual calendar in Australia dedicated to celebrating Indigenous history, achievements, and ongoing custodianship of the land Matt shares how we can incorporate bushfood into our every day lives, why we should have a dedicated isle in our supermarkets and the perfect bush food meal for a hang-over! We head Westside to chat with Jessie Hunt Skater with WestSide Roller Derby to talk about how Victoria University Community Sports Stadium is going to be transformed into a battleground for Round 2 of the Metro Season! That event takes place on Saturday 19 June in Footscray so pop that in your diary! We’ll also chat about whether roller derby is the sport for you! (Starts 23:35)

As we approach the close of the show we chat with Coach Daddy – Sam Dengate Founder and Coach at T Generations Gyms and winner of the 2023 – LGBTQ Inclusive Coach Award Pride In Sport winner. There is an exciting event on this weekend in Coburg, Victoria on Saturday 12 July – the Gaymes Number 2 Electric Boogaloo. We’ll find out how you can get involved and we hit Sam up for some tips on being motivated in winter to either get fit or stay fit! (Starts 31:00)
