Welcome to Game On JOY 94.9’s Home of Sport every Wednesday from 6-7pm where you’ll hear where you can get your game on! This show is all about showcasing where sport is safe, inclusive, welcoming and fun for the Rainbow community!

We chat with Madi Crowley-Long, Participation & Programs Manager – Metro North, Brisbane, Queensland about making strides in pride in the AFL across the Sunshine State. The team won the Pride In Sport 2025 LGBTQ+ Inclusive Innovation Award earlier this year for the 2024 Jarah Corporate Pride Round spanning across all AFL Queensland’s competitions, bringing vibrant colours and celebrations to ovals all over the state with educational sessions. We spoke with Tom Harley, Chief Executive Officer, Sydney Swans about another important event on the AFL inclusive sporting calendar – the annual Sydney Swans AFL Pride game now in its 10^th Year. This year the Swans take on the Bombers in a show of support for unity across the game. Tom shares the exiting events in the lead up to the first bounce on Saturday 2 August at the SCG, the significance of the game, and how he aims to continue with inclusion efforts across the AFL when he takes on his new role at AFL House in October as Chief Operating Officer. Tessa Lavey, Olympian, AFLW Richmond player and Co-founder The W Club at The Aviary Hotel in Abbotsford joins the show to encourage you to head on down! We hear an update from Josh Cavallo who has moved from Australia to the UK with his fiance Leighton Morrell. Josh has signed with Peterborough Sports FC, an English National League North club and he sat with with Peterborough Sports FC Amber Kent to discuss him signing with the club, his journey from playing in Australia and an exciting fresh chapter!
