Welcome to Game On! JOY 94.9’s Home of Sport every Wednesday from 6-7pm across summer where you’ll hear where you can get your game on! This show is all about showcasing where sport is safe, inclusive, welcoming and fun for the Rainbow community!

A spot of tennis anyone? We spoke with welcome Jess Chalmers, Committee member for Amazon Women’s Tennis, a safe space for LGBTQIA + Women and all trans, gender diverse and non-binary, about the fun to be had at the Glam Slam, the Gay Games, the Open Day on the 9th March, and the Compass Singles Tournament as part of the Australian Pride In Sport Festival – Calendar of Events! Pop Sunday 27th April in your diary and enjoy a vibrant celebration of sport and community for LGBTQIA+ women held on the same weekend as Lesbian Visibility Day! (Starts 6mins)

We spoke about sailing in stunning Sydney Harbour with Jorgen Kristoffersen from the Greenwich Flying Squadron Sailing Club about his incredible new event the Sydney Pride Regatta as part of the Pride In Sport Festival! It was such a huge success it is now to be the traditional opening event for Sydney Mardi Gras! (Starts 15:38mins)

The Minister for Tourism, Sport and Major Events Steve Dimopoulos jumped on the line to talk sport across Victoria and the excitement of the National Football League (NFL) regular season game coming to the MCG as part of a multi-year commitment from spring 2026! We also spoke Gay Games 2030 and the support of the LGBTIQA+ community in sport. (Starts 26:27mins)

And Niko Seneviratne the Director and Founder of Generation Dodgeball encouraged us to get involved with dodgeball but to maybe avoid the movie Dodgeball – A true underdog story!
