In late 2011 Healthy Communities Ageing Action Group obtained funding via a philanthropic grant to establish an LGBT seniors visiting service. The 12 month pilot project has followed the organisation’s work over several preceding years which found high levels of concern in the community about accessing ageing support services that would be sensitive to and supportive of their sexuality and gender identity.
