In The Beginning tells the 30 year story of JOY Media, Australia's only LGBTQIA+ radio station and media organisation. Through current and archival interviews, we explore and reflect upon how and why JOY began, and how the diverse programs on JOY responded to Australian and world events, the evolution of our LGBTQIA+ rights, health and wellbeing, community connection, and of course the fabulous music, through a Rainbow lens.
