JOY Radiothon is back from 1-7 June 2024, and in celebration of 30 years of Australia’s LGBTQIA+ community media organisation helping our communities flourish, our theme this year is FLOURISH.

Why donate to JOY?
JOY Media is Australia’s out-and-proud LGBTQIA+ community media organisation. From providing relevant, timely, and accurate news, to showcasing Australian LGBTQIA+ musicians and artists, advocating for community during times of crisis across Melbourne and Australia, JOY 94.9 is a crucial part of the country’s media landscape.

JOY Radiothon is how you can help JOY remain a voice for our community and to continue this work for us all!

Over the last few years, we’ve been working hard to build our organisation to a point of sustainability. In order to support this growth, we need to have resources to back us up. Resourcing JOY takes energy, passion and most of all money, and that is why your support this Radiothon is vital. All funds raised will ensure we can continue to proudly support and uplift diverse rainbow voices not represented in other media.

This year’s target is $300,000, and with your support, JOY will remain Out. Loud. Proud. for years to come.

How to help JOY flourish this Radiothon
JOY relies on the financial support of our listeners to sustain our unique platform.

Donations are the best way to support JOY, and you’ll benefit too — you get a tax deduction, and every dollar will go directly to supporting JOY.

Donations $2 and above are tax deductible, but are not eligible for prize draws.

WIN with JOY Radiothon 2024!
When you renew your JOY Membership or purchase JOY merch on our online store between 1-7 June*, you will also be entered into the prize draw to win VIP entry to the exclusive JOY Radiothon Party, where every ticket winner will win a fabulous prize! Major prizes will be announced daily on JOY Breakfast with Rach and Dean, JOY Drive with Warren, starting May 20th, 2024.

*Entries open 12:00am Saturday, 1 June, and close 11:59pm on Friday, 7 June.
