Professor Michael Salter: Sexual Violence in LGBTIQA+SB

A groundbreaking new report from UNSW Sydney has shed light on a serious and under-researched issue: the experiences of sexual violence among LGBTIQA+SB Australians.

The National Survey of LGBTIQA+SB Experiences of Sexual Violence is the largest of its kind, with nearly 3,200 participants sharing their experiences. The findings are alarming, with 76% reporting some form of sexual violence in their lifetime. The research highlights the urgent need for better support, funding, and preventative measures.

Guest: Professor Michael Salter, lead chief investigator of the report and the Director of Childlight (East Asia and Pacific) at UNSW Arts, Design & Architecture

Presenter: Warren Andrew
