Shingles is one of those conditions you might have heard of but do not think will affect you. But the reality is that one in three Australians will experience shingles in their lifetime, and the risk increases as we age. Despite this, new research from GSK Australia shows many over-50s are unaware of how common or serious it can be.

So, what do we need to know about shingles? And how can we protect ourselves?
