Bob Downe: 40th Anniversary Show at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival

Bob Downe, the most fabulous lounge singer out of Murwillumbah, is celebrating 40 years in showbiz. With his trademark safari suits, dazzling smile, and voice that could sell you a cruise holiday, Bob has become a beloved camp icon of Australian comedy.

But behind the sparkle is Mark Trevorrow, a performer, storyteller and cultural touchstone whose career has seen this country change socially, politically and personally. From daytime TV to the gay club circuit, from the Mardi Gras stage to Edinburgh’s cobblestones, Bob has been there and sung ABBA through it all.

He is back at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival with Bob Downe: 40th Anniversary Show.

Guest: Bob Downe

Presenter: Warren Andrew
