Beginning with six little beads in rainbow colours threaded onto shoelaces in a Broken Hill classroom, The Rainbow Shoelace Project is now a national movement showing support and allyship for the LGBTQIA+ community. Warren speaks with the project’s founder, Abbie, and her mum Sophie, about Abbie’s experience growing up in Broken Hill, and the journey that the Rainbow Shoelace Project has taken them on.
