30 years ago, the classic Australian film Muriel’s Wedding was screening in cinemas, taking in more than $15 million at the box office in Australia – still a massive amount today for Australian feature films.

Whilst many remember it for the classic phrase “you’re terrible Muriel”, the film appealed to a wide audience for many different reasons.
