Associate Professor Lauren Rosewarne: Scott Morrison’s Photo Album

Now, this is the kind of op-shop find you do not see every day! A Sydney shopper was casually flipping through an old photo album when they stumbled across previously unseen pictures of none other than former Prime Minister Scott Morrison. The album documents his trip to Europe in the 1990s, complete with handwritten captions detailing pub visits, sightseeing and even a solo day in Dublin while his wife, Jen, was sick in bed.

It is a fascinating glimpse into the personal life of a politician long before he became a household name. But what does it say about our fascination with political figures? And why are we so intrigued by their private moments?

Guest: Lauren Rosewarne, Associate Professor in Public Policy, Social and Political Sciences at the University of Melbourne

Presenter: Warren Andrew
