Denmark: Anti Social Media’s #DMGP win

The Britpop-inspired 4-piece band won the Danish Eurovision selection competition with their ’60s-esque song The Way You Are.

Winning with a total of 104 points, the boys faced major competition from second-place getter, Anne Gadegaard. Gadegaard was the favourite coming into the competition and was the winner of the public vote. The jury placed her second though, allowing Anti Social Media to win DMGP by 6 points.

Gadegaard ended up throwing a slight hissy fit about the result, telling Danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet that,

It is what it is. I’ve got a second place – and I shall be happy. It’s really nice. But it is confusing that Denmark voted for me. If Denmark had voted for them, and the jury had voted for me, it would be easier to accept.

It seems that Anne’s suitcase will be stored away for now.

Did the jury make a good choice?
