tilde is Melbourne’s international film festival created to showcase and support the work of trans and gender diverse filmmakers along with works that have trans and gender diverse content.

With the film fest kicking off on Thursday 8th of November Robbie & Dean from MAD Wednesday took a look through the guide and shared their top tips of what you should go and see during this weekend.

Stories have the power to heal, connect, agitate and educate. tilde’s vision is to have a more positive and authentic representation of gender diversity and a desire to create more dialogue between, as well as the sharing of stories across, communities both locally and globally.

tilde events are for everyone who are open to being part of hearing, telling and sharing these stories. As allies it isn’t just about talking about the importance of this kind of visibility, but support it as well, and share in these stories to learn more about other communities.

The 2018 festival will take place at the Footscray Community Arts Centre November 8th to 11th. Book your tickets here.
