Sydney-based out-and-proud singer-songwriter-DJ Ray Isaac spoke to Ginni and Adam a little while ago on Rise Up about his new anti-bullying song Who I Am. The Funk3d remix kicks off our additions this week.
Australia’s 2013 series of The Voice brought Cat Torres to our attention and, more importantly to the attention of coach Ricky Martin. While she did not win the series, Cat has toured extensively around the world supporting Ricky for past year. Her debut single is pop-soul-funk excellence!
One of the strongest independent pop-rock albums of the past year is the criminally ignored Humannequin by Jason Singh. I Can Dream is one of the first tracks written for the album and the third single, and is now on our airwaves.
Internationally, we have American producer Jeff Montalvo aka Seven Lions. His new single, Strangers (with Myon and Shane 54), features Swedish singer-songwriter Tove Lo, who herself reached #3 on the Aussie charts last month with “Stay High”.
The man best known for sampling Steve Winwood’s “Valerie” in 2004 for “Call on Me” is back. Liberate is stylish vocal house.
Finally, UK rapper-singer-producer-DJ Example returns with One More Day (Stay with Me), a more melodic sound for the first single from his forthcoming fourth studio album.
