Kicking our new music off this week is the Sydney-based out-and-proud independent duo you may have caught performing live at Midsumma T-dance in 2012. ‘Hearts on Fire’ from Divine Knights is a well-put-together nod to the classic sound of 80s Depeche Mode.
Midnight Pool Party out of Sydney are back with another disco-infused gem.
The four boys pulled together by X Factor in 2012 and subsequently debuting with a top 10, gold-certified first single, The Collective, are back with a new mid-tempo pop ballad.
The Voice 2012 winner Karise Eden finally gets out of the gate with her first album of original material, following up on her double-platinum-certified, number 1 debut released immediately after her win. Dynamite is just that.
Internationally it’s an all-star cast, with The Vamps sampling a 45-year-old Simon and Garfunkel classic and Cobra Starship sampling Fat Boy Slim. Plus hot new tracks out of the UK, with Calvin Harris with John Newman, The Magician, Above and Beyond and out-and-proud crooner Sam Smith.
