It’s been fairly slim pickings for new music over the Christmas period, but we’ve still found a few gems for your listening pleasure.
With three different remakes of Tracy Chapman’s classic ‘Fast Car’, we had to make the call whether to support a new version. In the end we went with the one we think best honours the original while creating a lovely tropical house feel. Producer Tobtok is from Sweden; the vocalist, River, is based in London.
Melbourne independent singer-songwriter Jessika Allegra sent us a new song and we can’t get enough of her ‘Phenomenon’.
Out-and-proud Swedish duo Man Meadow return to our lists with their bubbly new single, ‘Everybody’.
Ariana Grande’s most recent hit, ‘Focus’, got a little makeover from 7th Heaven, which made it JOY-perfect.
New British producer Sigala has had two top 20 hits in Australia with his two releases to date. We’re particularly digging his latest, ‘Sweet Lovin’.
