A fresh young Aussie duo kicks off our new music this week. Stephan Jordan is made up of Mauritian-born, Melbourne-based DJ-producer brothers Stephan and Jordan Malliate. The boys have teamed up with 2014 Australian X Factor finalist Jason Heerah for their latest single, Walking Away.

Harking from Sydney, Glades are a new trio recently signed to EMI. Karina Wykes, Cam Robertson and Joey Wenceslao have a debut EP in the works, and we reckon their first single, ‘Speechless’, is pretty darn good.

One of our favourite New Zealand artists, out-and-proud singer-songwriter Ladyhawke, is riding the wave of her third album’s success. Wild Things managed a top five on debut at home and a top 20 here in Australia. The title track and third single, Wild Things, is more understated pop excellence.

French producer DJ Snake is back with another single from his highly acclaimed debut album, Encore. Following up ‘Talk’, which featured Aussie George Maple, he now gives us ‘Let Me Love You’ featuring Justin Bieber. The track is currently creating quite a stir by sitting at the top of the Australian iTunes charts for more than a week, which puts it on a likely trajectory to oust the other massive Bieber track of the moment (Major Lazer feat. Justin Bieber & MØ – ‘Cold Water’) from the number one spot on the ARIA charts.

Dutch DJ-producer Martin Garrix is the most followed DJ on Instagram. Just saying. Anyway, he’s got a new single, In the Name of Love, with American singer-songwriter Bebe Rexha, and it’s excellent.

There’s many a time where we just say no when it comes to Pitbull. But then sometimes he comes up with a tune – usually a big collaboration – that is just too much fun to resist. Greenlight is just such a song, and features able assistance from Flo Rida and Lunchmoney Lewis.

British trio Stooshe (Alexandra Buggs, Karis Anderson and Courtney Rumbold) started out in 2012 under the auspices of Warner Music. Having since parted company with Warner and currently working independently, the girls are busy putting the finishing touches on their second studio album. With Karis and Courtney both being out and proud, we’ve been following them with keen interest and are very happy to have the excellent new single, Let It Go, for you. We think you’ll love it.

Set your alarm and tune into Michael on the Six at Six for the newest songs to the mix, every weekday at 6am Melbourne time.
